Workout tunes

Contrary to what this picture may suggest, I absolutely HATE working out. Even thinking about running just sent a horrific shiver down my spine. The only thing that helps me fight the desire to curl on my couch instead of running is music. I have a pretty decent running mix. As soon as I put headphones in, my shoulder starts moving to the music, then it’s both shoulders, and before you know it I’m convulsing dancing.
Here are a few of my favorite tunes that truly keep me going
Getting Over You - David Guetta
Baby When the Light - David Guetta
Funhouse - Pink
Womanizer - Brittney Spears
If I Had You – Adam Lambert
Telephone – Lady Gaga
and even
Eenie Meenie – Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber

Alright, alright… Don’t judge. Some of these are questionable, some of these are old. But they have been doing the job. Obviously, I need to update my running mix. I’m running a mini-marathon in a couple of weeks (I wasn’t myself when I signed up, I swear!) and, friends, I need your help.
Please, please, please throw out some suggestions. What gets your jiggly parts moving? What songs make you want to shake what your mama gave ya?

  1. I listen to a lot of 80′s & 90′s pop music but I also listen to:

    Lady Gaga- Poker Face
    Janet Jackson- If
    Alanis Morisette: You outta know
    Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit
    George Michael- Too Funky
    Micheal Jackson
    Prince- Get Off
Justin Timberlake- Cry Me River, What Goes Around……Comes Around

I got a million of playlists I listen to when I don’t wanna get moving.

  2. Well, here I am and that’s my suggestions!
Actually there is so many songs in my “Move!” list but I tried to choose the best… Well, may be they are old or something but they force me to move anyway :)
The Miami Sound Machine – Conga
Technotronic – Pump Up The Jam
Michael Jackson – Black Or White
Jasper Forks – River Flows In You
    Madonna – Jump
    Dan Balan – Chica Bomb
Armin Van Buuren Feat. Sharon Den Adel – In And Out Of Love
    Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams
    Kelly Rowland – Work
    Tony Igy – Astronomia
Something good old: Lulu & The Luvvers – Shout, Jive Bunny – That’s What I Like
And finally my favourite David Guetta!!!
When Love Takes Over, Delirious, Tomorrow Can Wait, Love Don’t Let Me Go, Winner Of The Game
P.S. I’ll dare to suggest one more song… I know, I know the text is more than terrible but the rhythm makes me move no matter what! Don’t judge me, we russians usually don’t think about the meaning of english songs…:) Well, that is Bloodhound Gang – The Bad Touch

  3. WOW, thanks girl! I really appreciate it. I’ll check these out… Even the last one. It will be my secret song and I will turn my English off when I listen to it:)

  4. I’m not at all a sporty girl so I don’t run or anything… but there’re certainly some very energizing songs by Rihanna for instance, everything she’s been doing lately is very cool. Besides the song mentioned by you it’s ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘S&M’; and by all means Shakira! Her hymn to the World Cup or ‘Loca’
