The Fourth of July is a such a wonderful patriotic holiday and a great time to enjoy friends and family BBQs! We had some close friends over for food and rooftop fireworks. I wanted to get a little crafty in a non-traditional red, white, blue way. I have so much fun fabric but in such small amounts I couldn’t really do a large project with it, so I decided to make an assortment of outdoor napkins. They are colorful, a fun way to dress up your outdoor space and as silly as it is to say, I’m in love with my new napkins!

Simple sewing with fun impact
Had to throw this one in… I love the texture of my recent Pier One pillows
enjoy, amy

Hipstamatic sure takes nice pictures:)
Love the napkins.

So, just a thought from a loyal reader. I KNOW that napkins should be easy-peasy to make, buuut I’m no good at this stuff. I would LOVE a little how-to with this. Nothing terribly detailed, but at least something that gets me thinking–”Yeah, I could do that!”
Sarah-
Thanks for your question. I’d love to put together a little how to… although I am no fancy sewer, so be warned. =) I’ll post it in the next few days!
Yay! Thank you, Amy!
I was going to type out how to sew the napkins, but found this to be just as easy to understand… let me know if you have any questions and have FUN!

The only thing I would change from the link above, is I did not do any hand sewing on the final step. I simply used my sewing machine and it looks just fine.
