I am slowly finding myself more in love every day… and I’m not just talking about with J. I find myself thinking about two things fairly frequently…
Food and photography.
I know. I’m weird.
Here’s how it typically goes with me…
I read recipe’s and think about the amazing combinations of flavors and try and figure out a time when I could make said recipe… then, I envision how I would photograph the end result.
Again, weird, I know.
Call me a slow learner but I’ve recently discovered this whole new realm of photography where you take pictures of food…and only food. It’s genius, I know.
So there’s this book by Tartlette’s Helene Dujardin…
From what I understand, this is pretty much da bomb when it comes to food photography. It walks you through how to style your photo shoot and how to take the best pictures of what you’ve created and what not.
Like I said, I’m new to this whole photography thing so please, don’t judge me for my lack of proper jargon.
Helene is incredibly gifted and makes me want to drop all of my former aspirations, go buy a DSLR camera and waste my life cooking, snapping photos and eating. Doesn’t sound too bad does it?
Anyway, I know there are many of you out there who are interested in photography and even if you’re not that into food, I’d recommend checking this book out… if nothing else, it would make an awesome book for the coffee table… or the bathroom. Just sayin.
