Yesterday was my birthday.

I wasn’t going to mention it but since it’s past, I decided to let you in on my secret.

It was a wonderful day. My husband, friends and family spoiled me rotten…. I am a completely blessed woman. For sure!

So what did I ask for you ask? All I asked for this year from my dad (and family) and brother were gift cards to best buy…

This is so out of the ordinary for me in so many ways. J even laughed out loud yesterday when I received my gift from my brother Josh.. I think his exact words were, “A gift card for Best Buy? For you?”

Yes, it’s this strange. He even laughed a little when I explained that this was not my brother’s way of saying we need to stock up on our DVD collection for when he comes to visit in the winter… that I had specifically told him this is what I wanted.

You see I’m not one of those “technologically savvy” people. I’m just not and people know that. Yes, I can navigate my way through technology but I’m not one to go and peruse Best Buy or Circuit City.

Like Ever.

After opening my gift card, I received J’s next question, “why did you want a Best Buy gift card?”

This baby is why I want a Best Buy gift card.

I’m saving up you see. It might take me a few years but already with the generosity of my brother (thanks Josh!) I am on my way to owning this lil lady.

I’ve been doing my research and I have found that most people suggest Cannon Rebel’s for beginners… well, I definitely fit that mold so I guess I’ll start there.

However, please feel free to lend me some suggestions. I am not set on anything and I definitely would appreciate some good advice if you have any.

Oh and don’t worry, I ate about 4 cupcakes yesterday for you. I know you would have wanted them if you could have been there so I bore my burden and ate them. Just for you. Really!
