It’s the day before Thanksgiving here in the states and I feel like the holiday has already begun. Our friends got together last night to celebrate “Friends-giving” and let me tell you… it was a feast! I haven’t edited the photos I took yet, but maybe I’ll post them later.
I was thinking about traditions this morning. While catching up via email with an old friend, I was asked if we were starting our own traditions this year. This is our second year being married at Thanksgiving and we have yet to start any sort of unique tradition… and frankly, I’m clear out of ideas. What do you do for your Thanksgiving tradition?
Do you have a post-turkey football game like our friends in Alaska?

Do you host an extended family talent show like the Bundenthal family? They seriously hand the winner a turkey trophy.

Do you make holiday crafts?

Or are you more like my mom growing up? As soon as Thanksgiving dinner is done and the dishes are cleaned up, do you start prepping for Christmas decorations?

Are you a board game person? A football family? Does your mom make you all pull questions from a hat and answer them during dinner? Do you have a Thankfulness tree? Do you go see a movie? I seriously do want to hear about your Thanksgiving traditions! Shout ‘em out in the comment section.
As of right now, I’m planning on curling up on the couch in front of my grandparent-in-laws fireplace and reading. With a cup of coffee and a bottle of peppermint mocha creamer. Does that count as a family tradition?
Happy Thanksgiving Eve y’all!
