There are so many traits that I inherited from my mother. That being said, there is one HUGE one that I did NOT get from her…
That is her incredible talent for wrapping gifts. She seriously is one of the best gift wrappers that I have ever know.
I’ve frequently told her she needs to quit her job and begin a gift-wrapping company…. and she frequently declines. I mean I don’t blame her… who wants to wrap gifts for OTHER people ALL the time??
Not this one that’s for sure.
I can only tolerate it for 1 month out of the year.
However, after the suggestion of a good friend, I started scouring Pinterest and various other websites for wrapping ideas that I think I could actually manage. I didn’t find too many, but I did find some wrap jobs that make me want to go out and buy stuff just so I could practice… and that’s saying a lot for this homegirl. Take a peak…

I am such a sucker for butcher paper… butcher paper+vintagey things… my, my, my…

Burlap with a feminineĀ flair?? Yes, please!

Ohh… my brainiac of a husband would love this…

Um, hi. This next one is a repeat offender but I adore it so much I had to give it another 15 minutes of fame..

Your tree doesn’t have to be the only greener you bring in from the great outdoors…

Have an old atlas on hand? What about old song books? Perfect!..

This last one has serious personality…

With so many great ideas out there, I can’t help but feel guilty for the lame-wrapping job I’ve already done on a few presents… time to ramp it up for sure. I need butcher paper STAT!

I love the simplistic approach with the pictures and you don’t have to use gift tags that way either!!
I LOVED that one too! I especially love the black and white pictures AND they get to keep them for sentimental sake. –Kirby
Wow, loving all the ideas you have shared – thank you!
Deb, You are more than welcome! Glad you like them. Thanks for stopping by!–Kirby
That last one is from my craft board. I do a different theme every year. That one is by far my most popular idea.
Well way to go Abby! It’s a super cute idea!
