Loving Who You Love

I have a crush. A mega crush. On this boy…

I mean seriously… who wouldn’t?

But I know you don’t come to this blog to hear about my hunky hunk of a husband… that’s just a perk.

I have a craft for you today… double perk.

You see that guy in the picture above? You know the one with the red beard? Ya, that one. Well he’s not big into in Valentine’s Day. I realize what you’re thinking, “Kirby,  it’s April. Who cares about Valentines Day?”

Just bear with me.

In substitute for a Valentine’s Day gift, I decided to do something special for him each month…

Friday night, I saddled up to the floor with my craft box and Moneyball and went to work.

I’m sure you’ve all seen the “52 Things I love about you” cards on Pinterest… here’s my take…

They were fun, easy, super cheap ($3 total) and J loved them… here was the process….

You need mod podge (and a brush), a deck of cards, paper (I used an old atlas), and something to write with…

Tear the paper into 52 different pieces and write something that you love about that person on each one…

Begin mod-podging… I did a layer on the card, then laid the paper on the layer of glue and put a layer over the top…

Make sure you lay them flat so that they’re not touching and let them dry completely (about 20 minutes)…

Once they’re dry, punch a hole in the top corner of each one…

Tie a string all around them and voila…

I have to thank my friends LeAnne and Cassie for showing me this one… they did this for their loves in February and I thought it was too fun not to do for J… so shout out to y’all!

That’s it for now. Happy Easter friends! Enjoy this weekend… it’s my all-time favorite holiday.

He is risen!
