Failing to Fight Off Fall with a DIY Wreath

Typically I never ever want summer to end. I love it. I crave it. I spend all year waiting and wishing for summer.

But for some reason, this year I’ve moved ahead into fall in my brain. I think it’s because the bulk of my summer was spent with my nose in a book or locked up in the dungeons a.k.a. classrooms.

So, I have given up on summer and surrendered to fall. Nevermind that it’s 90 degrees outside.

I am done. Sorry summer… you’re so last season.

In listening to some friends talk about getting out their decorations for fall, I decided that I should start getting them ready as well… I mean September 1st is right around the corner, right?

Well in ‘getting the decorations ready’ I realized that you have to have decorations to be able to prep them for their season.

You see… I didn’t have any… but really wanted to put some out and did not want to buy any… this was my dilemma.

So I decided to make some instead.

Enter DIY Fall Wreath.

Instead of me typing out all of the directions, I decided to combine them with the pics.

So here’s what I did… enjoy!

I originally left it like this…

but I felt like something was missing. So I decided to go on…

Here’s the finished product….

I think it’s a much better improvement than what it was. Let’s take another peak…

Before…

After…

Here’s a closer look at the details…

Personally, I love it and am so pleased that I decided to add the flowers. It took me about 2 hours total time to do everything and about $10. Not bad huh?

I hope you all have an awesome Friday! Happy Early Fall!!!
